It is with profound sadness and heartfelt sympathy that we mourn the passing of Ricky Lynn Wells, 57, of Waterloo, Indiana, who died on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. His passing leaves behind a deep sense of loss among his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ricky Lynn Wells will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, caring brother, and cherished friend. Born on July 21, 1968, in Auburn, Indiana, to Oscar Ray Wells and Joan Joy (Laisure) Wells Rempis, Ricky was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Bill Rempis. Despite these losses, he lived a life rooted in faith, resilience, and love for his family.
Ricky dedicated over 30 years of hard work to Air-Way in Hamilton and later continued his career at Charleston Metal in Waterloo before retiring. He was respected for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and steady presence among colleagues and friends.
A man of faith, Ricky was a member of New Hope Christian Center in Waterloo. His love for music and worship was evident throughout his life, especially in his passion for singing and playing guitar. In his younger years, he shared his musical gifts with the gospel group Glory Land Express, touching many hearts through song.
Ricky also found joy in community involvement, including participating in the Riley Children’s Hospital Tractor Pulls, reflecting his generous spirit and desire to support meaningful causes.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Teresea (Woods) Wells; his son Tyler (Jessica) Wells; step-children Ryan (Sarah) Nelson and Stephanie (Andy) Rice; grandchildren and great-grandchild; and his siblings Diane, Tony, Tim, Joe, and Julie, along with many extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at New Hope Christian Center in Waterloo, with visitation prior to the service, allowing loved ones to gather in remembrance and celebration of Ricky’s life.
